San Andreas, CA...This morning's Calaveras County Board of Supervisors meeting was a contentious affair to say the least. It runs just under two hours and the fast forward and rewind features will work as soon as we have made one pass. The Grand Jury Report had already influenced the public comment sessions and also near the end of the meeting the Board itself. Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services tops the agenda; First 5 Calaveras will submit their State Annual Report; A Resolution Item establishing the schedule of fees and land classification for property related solid waste parcel fees for FY 08/09; Discussion and possible action regarding Resolutions, 3, adopting FY 08/09 Preliminary Budget; Discussion and possible action regarding Resolution authorizing changes to the position control list FY 08/09 new positions and reclassifications; Measure J (Jail Funding) is back on the agenda. San Andreas, CA.....The Calaveras Council of Governments is scheduled to meet on Wednesday July 2nd at 6:30pm at the BOS Chambers in San Andreas. Something very exciting that is happening at this meeting is the adoption of the of Arnold Rural Livable Mobility Plan and Presentation by Stantec Consultants; Possible adoption of the Arnold Rural Lovable Mobility Plan; Review and adoption of the 08/09 Unmet Transit Needs Findings Report; and a Contract Summary approving RBF Consulting contract for the Wagon Trail Realignment Project. Valley Springs, CA...The Calaveras County Taxpayers Association took a tour and met with the Developers of the Trinitas Olive Orchards & Golf Course for several hours on Friday. They reached the conclusion that the Trinitas Project deserves their support. The CCTA is the second community organization to stand behind the project publicly in less than a week.
