You guessed it! It’s that time of year again… time for the highly anticipated Copperopolis Melodrama! Rehearsals are well under way for this, sure to be riotous, Melodrama put on by the Copperopolis Volunteer firefighter’s association. This year’s melodrama boasts a hilarious cast of familiar faces and some new faces making their acting debut. The adventure follows Zada Queen, a gun packin’, train robbin’, cookie bakin’ ol’ gal and her band of misfit bank robbers as they attempt to swindle, cheat and steal their way through Copperopolis.....

Copper Man Arrested for Attempted Murder

Copperopolis, CA...On 4-21 - 1 0 deputies responded to the 900 block of Sequoia Circle in Copperopolis for a report of shots fired in to a residence. As a result of the investigation deputies arrested Gino Macedo (27) of Copperopolis for attempted murder of an ex-girlfnend. Macedo who was reportedly upset about his ex-girlfriend dating another man fired two rounds from a .22 caliber rifle in to her home located on Sequoia Circle while she was inside of the home. Copperopolis, CA....The paparazzi prowling around Copper Elementary spotted two famous Rock Stars . . . Mama Cass and Cindy Lauper hanging out on the playground! OK maybe not . . . but it was “Come Dressed as a Rock Star Day” at the school Friday and staff members Mama Cass (aka Bonnie Carrero Copper Librarian) and Cindy Lauper (Roxanne Shevlin Site Supervisor for CCOE Extended Daycare) were having fun and they were not to be out done by any of the students!....

So you’ve decided to move to the country where life may be just a might bit slower than you had imagined.....If you have lived here, say goin’ on four or five months now, you have undoubtedly been a recipient of our own unique brand of country type traffic jams. That would be the interminably slow moving traffic caused by a tractor meandering its way along, what anyone not living here would perceive as a country road, but we all know as a major roadway. Normally a slow tractor is viewed as just another aspect of life in the country to be patiently tolerated, but when that tractor is between me and the nearest coffee shop, that is when said tractor becomes a problem....

Copperopolis, CA....Coperopolis hosted two Easter egg hunts over the weekend On Saturday morning youngsters enjoyed hunting eggs at Black Oak Park. The at 1pm, the lovely Copper Town Square held their Annual Easter Celebration. We would like to thank Charity Maness for sending us these photos.
