Angels Camp, CA....Tonight’s meeting of the Angels Camp City Council dealt, in part, with an agenda regarding business, business development plans for the future of our city and our region; many strongly held opinions were heard. On the agenda tonight was a council resolution that might offer a measure of control by the City of Angels over possible proposals by developers to our community. Some members of the Angels Camp City Council did their best to draw firm outlines around plans commercial real estate developers might have for the City of Angels Camp.....
Calaveras County, CA...The number of accidents and DUI arrests over the New Years weekend were lower this year (there was one less day this year compared to last year). Statewide, the CHP arrested 873 drivers on suspicion of driving under the influence compared to 1252 for the same period last year. 15 people died in automobile accidents in the state this year, which is a significant decrease from 30 people for last year.....

Angels Camp, CA....January 2011 marks the 10th annual National Mentoring Month (NMM) campaign to recruit volunteer mentors for youth mentoring programs across the country, and the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program is reaching out to Calaveras citizens for help. Many children in the county are on the waiting list for a mentor, and there are a variety of ways to keep this vital program going for our community’s children.....

Calaveras County, CA....Each year the Chamber of Commerce Awards a local business with the Business of the Year Award.
