Maness, And the release of her latest romance, ‘Prince Charming’. “A childhood where imagination replaced reality to hide from the violence, followed by a failed marriage, left Charlie wondering if any such thing as a ‘Prince Charming’ existed....

While most of us view the day after Thanksgiving as a day of rest and relaxation, not so for the Rasmussen family. This family boasting a long lineage of cattlemen, six generations to be exact, come together each fall and each spring and intermittently throughout the year when dad Clayton needs a helping hand with the family business, which today included finding 100 plus head of cattle on over 1200 acres of land rounding them up and bringing them in for branding and vitamin vaccines....

Embracing the seemingly ageless tradition of a Thanksgiving Day football game, Copper volunteer firefighters opted for the ‘anti coach potato’ alternative and along with friends and family enjoyed a lively game of flag football to kick off their Thanksgiving Day. A group of Copper Kid’s Camp Counselors put their heads together and with the help of idea guru Jane Everett came up with a plan to help raise funds for the yearly Copperopolis Parks and Recs kids camp…design, create, and sew a handmade quilt and raffle it. Incorporating the whole process into their senior project, Bret Harte seniors Elysa Schulte and Sam Baxter are embracing the process and following it through from beginning to end. Copperopolis, CA....With family and friends in attendance USMC Sgt. Christopher Maness of Copperopolis wed his sweetheart Avonlea Ahern of Temecula on Saturday November 20, 2010 at an outdoor ceremony in the Town Square of Copperopolis. Chris’ father, John Maness, officiated, weaving a tale of their young love “put on hold courtesy of the United States Marine Corps” referring to Chris’ deployment to Afghanistan, leaving few dry eyes. Chris’ brother and best friend Nick stood in as best man, his childhood .....

Copperopolis, CA...Crews are responding to what CHP is reporting as a single vehicle off the roadway just south of Copperopolis Town Square. Please use caution in the area...Update as of 8am...Two were transported to Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital with minor injuries....

In 1997 Sheriff Downum of the Calaveras County Sheriff Department saw a need for chaplain services within the county. Reaching out to Father Jim Stout of the Church of the Ascension in Copperopolis, he found the man for the job. On June 4 1997, Father Jim and his wife Pam moved to Copperopolis. On June 14 1997, Copperopolis had it yearly Homecoming celebration. It was there that Sheriff Downum approached him and told him of the community’s need. ....
