Posted by: thepinetree on 03/17/2011 06:18 PM
Murphys, CA...Precipitation rolls back into the region tonight. Don't worry though the clouds usually part long enough to allow Irish Day to proceed without a hitch. Here is what the NWS says is on tap for our area. Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 36. Southwest wind at 7 mph becoming northeast. Friday: A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. High near 52. East wind 7 to 10 mph becoming south between 15 and 18 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%....

The above graphic starts at Bear Valley followed by Arnold, Murphys, Angels Camp and Copperopolis. This hopefully will give you a good idea of what to expect at the different elevations in our area. The latest info is always on our weather page..

Sharing . . .When I was a kid living in Reno the girl a couple doors down from me invited me to her Birthday party. If I had been Dennis the menace . . . this girl would have been Margaret. The last Birthday party I wanted to go to was this girl’s party . . . but being five years old I was told I had to go . . . So we headed off to town to buy a present. Now I wanted to get her the big yellow Tonka dump truck but mom said the Kitchen Play Ware set was a better gift for a girl and besides it was in a big pink box. We got it home and wrapped it in more pink paper ready for tomorrow’s festivities.....
