Calaveras County, CA.....On June 6, 2008, Calaveras County Sheriff 's Deputies and Agents with the Alcohol Beverage Control conducted sting operations in the Mokelumne Hill and Valley Springs areas in an effort to reduce the problem of adults purchasing alcohol for minors in the communities of Calaveras County. Listed below are subjects cited for purchasing alcohol for those under the age of 21.....

San Andreas, CA...The Lake Tulloch item packed the gallery for today's meeting. Even New10 from Sacramento was here for the festivities. There was a couple of hours of back and forth from both side of this issue. Some of the property owners had numerous stories about overcrowded vacation rentals clogging the the tightly packed neighborhoods in the Poker Flat area with people, boats & SUVs. They would like to see short term rentals banned from their area. An even larger number of citizens testified at the meeting about the vital nature of the vacation rental business to our local economy. Testifying were not only real estate and property professionals from the Copperopolis area but Don Fry, Doug Shinn, Dan Sieder, Anna Gutierrez and others from around the county weighed in on the topic.... Copperopolis, CA....CAL Fire is stating sparks from a dragging dozer is the cause of a 1/4 acre vegetation fire on Friday June 6th at 904 Reeds Turnpike at 100 Ranch Road in Copperopolis. There were no injuries and no dollar damage reported. Fire report enclosed....
Copperopolis, CA....We had the chance to attend the 2008 Copperopolis Homecoming Celebration, Charlie Stone Memorial Parade and Emergency Service Day on Saturday. It was quite impressive, as a matter of fact I would say a Homerun! The day started off with an all you can eat pancake breakfast with the Charlie Stone Memorial Parade following at 11am. There were 33 entrants in the grand parade. We have close to 200 photos and almost 40 minutes of video for your enjoyment. If you or someone you know was in the parade...chances are we have a photo. Supervisor Russ Thomas started things off with another great rendition of the Star Spangled Banner that was sung right in front of the huge "Old Glory" that E. Clampus Vitus brought to the parade...

"The Tipsy Chicks" of Arnold Take Home Viewers Choice Award at Ironstone Vineyards BBQ Competition! Pictures & Video Enclosed

Murphys, CA...Ironstone Vineyards put on another great event on Sunday! They held their 2nd Annual BBQ Competition which was hosted by Executive Chef James Lehman. There were approximately 22 teams vying for the BBQ Queens and Kings of the Weber for the Day! "The Tipsy Chicks", a team of gals from Arnold, took home the "Viewers Choice" Competition. For pork butt, "Pork Purveyors" of Murphys takes it, baby back ribs goes to "Spoke Benders" of Vacaville, and beef brisket, "Team Ramirez" from Tracy, CA. The judging was done by James and 8 Blind Judges, whom were also local food connoisseur's. There were three judges for each category. The categories were Best of Beef Brisket, Best of Pork Baby Back Ribs, Best of Pork Butt and Viewers Choice....
