| Copperopolis, CA....CHP is reporting a non-injury bus vs. vehicle accident at Hwy 4 at O'Byrnes Ferry Road. There were children on the bus. However, no serious injuries are reported per Officer Rebecca Meyers CHP. A vehicle tapped the back of a school bus according to Officer Meyers. |

Angels Camp, CA....Bret Harte Theater was the venue over the weekend for 3 performance of "Sleeping Beauty Kids" presented by CSTARS Kids, the local not-for-profit organization dedicated to performance arts education and opportunities for kids here in Calaveras County. The theater was full and the backstage dressing rooms a beehive of activity. There were more conical hats than this reporter had ever seen as the performance got under way at 2PM.....

The Calaveras Visitors Bureau participated in the Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show this past weekend in Santa Clara to spread the word about Calaveras County and all it has to offer to adventurous travelers. The CVB had an exciting opportunity to partner with Cave & Mine Adventures and share a booth at the show to distribute information about the audaciously unique experiences to be discovered in Calaveras County. Fourteen additional partners representing various areas of the county, including Valley Springs, Mokelumne Hill, Murphys, Angels Camp and Arnold joined forces with the CVB and Cave & Mine Adventures to have their materials distributed at the show....

Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras High Redskins Men's Basketball team took the short rids down Hwy 49 to Angels Camp to take on their cross county rivals. Like any battle between these teams you can throw out the results from their seasons and as these games are emotion driven performances. ....

Copperopolis, CA....We would like to thank Mc Carty's Copper Inn for joing our Advertising family. McCarty's Copper Inn was built in the 1860's , by the Union Mining Company. At that time is was called the Union Mine Store. In the 1940's it was changed into a restaurant, bar and gas station. The name changed at that time to Copper Inn. In 1961 it was turned back into a store, and was called Cantrell's Copper Inn. In 1986 the name changed again to Mc Carty's Copper Inn. In 2001 Bill & Nancy Turner bought the store but kept the name the same. ......

Copperopolis, CA...Just in...We heard a group of local bovines are out and about in the roadway at Arrowhead Street at Copper Cove Drive in Copperopolis. Please travel with caution in the area.
