Trinitas Easements Get 5-0 Vote From CCWD Board to Launch Groundwater Monitoring in Western Calaveras |

San Andreas, CA....The CCWD Board voted 5-0 this morning to accept land and access easements from Trinitas to house a high-tech clustered groundwater monitoring well that will launch its groundwater monitoring program in western Calaveras County. The US geological Survey has been contracted to install the well on the Trinitas Project site to provide the most advanced data gathering tool for groundwater aquifer movements that..... |

Approval of Ingress/Egress Easements to CCWD from Mike Nemee et al for access for the Groundwater Monitoring Program for four residential parcels; Valley Springs Public Utility District Water Service Agreement will be discussed; Copper Valley Ranch Subdivision will be discussed; Memorandum of Understanding with Calaveras County for Septage receiving facility; Contract for Technical assistance and emergency back up with Lake Alpine Water Company will be discussed and Wallace Lake Estates is on the agenda for discussion. San Andreas, CA...MTSJ hosted a very nice luncheon last Thursday to kick off the the 2009 Americian Cancer Society Daffodil Days. Sandy Stoddard from the ACS office in Stockton was on had to fill local residents and volunteers on all the details. San Andreas, CA...In what was the most sobering portion of the Board of Supervisors meeting was a presentation by Assistant Administrative Officer Shirley Ryan. It portrayed the draconian cuts that will be necessary it the State Budget is not passes soon. Health and Human services for the county would see an almost $3,000,000 shortfall in the first seven months. This would necessitate an almost 40% reduction in staff and other services. Public Works and road maintenance funds would also severely hit. Shirley painted a picture that our county would be unable to solve locally if the impasse continues to drag on. The cuts....
