San Andreas, CA...The Assessors Office again hopped away from the field for bragging rights and qualification in the Frog Jump Finals. Tuesday's event had most of the county employees and many of the elected officials our cheering their Department's entries in the Frog Jump. Traditionally it is the last to be hired to have the honor of jumping for their departments and county's honor. We have photos and video of all the fun...

San Andreas, CA...Update as of Sunday morning this year's Relay for Life has raised $55,570.10. The 2012 Relay doesn’t close until August 31st. We have finally finished uploading the video clips from the opening. They are enclosed and Survivor Catherine Lewallen gave a very nice speech at the opening. The 2012 Relay for Life was another great event at Calaveras High School. The shots below were from the Opening Ceremony & Survivors Laps. West Point, CA..Minor injuries were sustained by a 76 year old West Point Woman. CHP originally reported this as a head on collision and it was from the perspective that the fount of the vehicles did collide. We hoped however as the collision area was close to town that the speeds would be low enough to keep the injuries to a minimum. Luckily that ended up being the case. The CHP report is enclosed...

San Andreas, CA...The annual Fly-In & Open House at Calaveras Co. Airport was held this year on Saturday April 21. A good sized crowd spent the day viewing aircraft and classic cars on static display. Our the Lions Club will served breakfast, the EAA Mother Lode Chapter 484 put on a delicious tri-tip BBQ lunch, and the Calaveras Community Band will be provided musical entertainment.
