Currently we have an opening on the Council for One (1) Alternate Citizen Member. We welcome your application! The CCOG has a number of transportation planning programs as well as bike and pedestrian programs, all of which are having positive impacts in our community. San Andreas, CA...Calaveras Community TV is located in San Andreas, CA. We are a non-profit organization which helps facilitate the local studio and air original community programming to your home. The goals for PEG Access Television are to promote free speech, foster diverse points of view, encourage communications, create opportunities, encourage artistic expression, expand educational access, and promote participatory democracy in order to strengthen the spirit of the communities and enrich the lives of our residents and visitors.
San Andreas, CA...Calaveras Unified School District 2016/2017 Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten Registration is FEBRUARY 1, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. All elementary schools in the Calaveras Unified School District will be registering children for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten on February 1, 2016. Call the appropriate school listed below for an appointment. For Transitional Kindergarten: Children whose birthdates are from September 2, 2011 to December 2, 2011 are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten. For Regular Kindergarten: Children must be five years old by September 2, 2016. (Birthdates must be on or before September 1, 2011 to attend Kindergarten.)
Sacramento, CA...In late December, a Christian Church based in a Sacramento suburb followed-up on their promise to help survivors of the Butte Fire to thrive. Jeannie Hayward of Calaveras Recovers (and the Resource Connection) told the group of churchmen that their, “wonderful efforts would be very appreciated” by the community here. The church of Christ Community delivered a check in the amount of $6,595.00 to Ms. Hayward for Calaveras Recovers to use in the rebuilding of the communities impacted by the fire.

Angels Camp, CA...The latest schedule of road repairs and maintenance that will affect your travels in our area and as you travel. Locally crews will be working on Hwys 4, 12, 26, 49, 108 & 120. Below is Caltrans plans for repairs and maintenance on local roads. It shows the route, county and location of the possible repairs.

San Andreas, CA...John Michael Stark passed away Sunday, January 17 at St Joseph's Hospital in Stockton, from complications of emphysema, with his family at his bedside. He was 72. John was born on October 18, 1943 in San Francisco. He spent his elementary school years in San Francisco and moved to Cupertino for his high school years. While at Cupertino High School he met Sophia (Sue) Paizis. They were married soon after high school in 1965.
San Andreas, CA...Angelina M. Nelson, Born: June 19, 1924 in Blue Canyon, CA to Argeutina and Joseph Rovetti, and passed away on January 10, 2016 at her home in San Andreas She lived in Eder, Emigrant Gap, Truckee and Auburn and was a lifelong resident of California. Angelina attended school in Emigrant Gap and Truckee and moved to Auburn in 1936 where she finished her schooling and graduated from High School in 1942.
