Mountain Ranch Industrial Accident Takes Life Of 21 Year Old

Mountain Ranch, CA...On 04/06/17 at 11:20 AM, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Whiskey Slide Road north of the intersection of West Murray Creek Road, in Mountain Ranch for an Industrial Accident. A 21-year old male who was employed by a tree cutting contractor was removing an oak tree from a rural property when a limb fell onto his boom truck bucket. The worker sustained major injuries and was unconscious when emergency services arrived. The 21-year old succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Mountain Ranch, CA...The tragic notifications to his family have been completed and Calaveras County Coroner Kevin Raggio has released that it was 22 year old Christopher Hiser from Sonora that lost his life yesterday when he was struck by a limb from a tree. He was working for a tree contractor and was in a bucket truck and the limb which according to the Coroner's office was not that large fell from above where he was working. The limb was large enough however to tragically end his life and he passed away at the scene. Below is from the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department that fills in a few more details.
