Hosted by John Krutsinger of Edward Jones in Murphys, the event partners with three community non-profits; Hospice of Amador & Calaveras, Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation (MTMCF), and Mind Matters. Ageless – A Prescription for Healthy Aging by Robert Pokorski, MD will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd, 12 noon at MTMCF, 768 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas. CCWD Weighing Potential Water & Sewer Rate Increases at March 28th Meeting |

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Water District Board is back in action tomorrow with a full agenda. The biggest item to most of their rate payers will be item 4c under new business. It is "Discussion / Action Regarding Proposed Water and Wastewater Rates and Setting Proposition 218 Public Hearing" which means that after several years of holding their rates steady there is a need to inch them up a bit with a proposed 1.7% water rate increase and a 4.1% sewer rate increase.

San Andreas, CA...Bruce Cordeiro was 77 years old, and passed away of a heart attack while at home in San Andreas, CA, on March 23, 2018. Bruce was born on December 11, 1940, in Fall River, Massachusetts. He grew up in Fall River, and Warren RI, and loved telling the hilarious stories of the many adventures of his youth, which his family has never tired of hearing.

Angels Camp, CA...Calaveras County Arts Council is proud to present the Mario Flores Latin Jazz Band, a quartet of Jazz musicians, plus special guests at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Mario Flores is a popular conga player who leads a band of musicians in steamy, vibrant soundscapes in the tradition of Tito Puente, Cal Tjader and Mongo Santamaria. Tropical jazz lights up the Bret Harte Theater. Band leader Mario Flores said listeners at the Latin Jazz concert on April 8 at the Bret Hart Theater should expect fireworks.
