Primary Care is Dream Come True for Family Nurse Practitioner Guadalupe Robles |

San Andreas, CA...Guadalupe “Lupe” Robles has a unique perspective on her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. “I think of every patient as a puzzle. We look for the right pieces to solve what is wrong with the puzzle.” Guadalupe has recently joined the staff at the San Andreas Family Medical Center after two years at the Valley Springs Family Medical Center. She earned her nursing degree at California State University, Bakersfield, specializing in primary care and concentrating on health care needs in the small, rural towns in that region. “Rural communities have always appealed to me,” she says. “That’s why I am so happy to be working here in Calaveras County.

Detectives Search 3 Locations for Evidence of Child Pornography |

San Andreas, CA...On 11-29-17 Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Detectives served search warrants at three residences in Calaveras County. Detectives are conducting an ongoing investigation involving a female juvenile exchanging sexually explicit pictures and having inappropriate contacts with two identified adult males. Digital media evidence was recovered during yesterday’s searches as well as methamphetamine and paraphernalia for use (syringes and pipes).

San Andreas, CA...What is an Owner Applied Number and why do I need an OAN? Stolen vehicles are linked to their owners through the Department of Motor Vehicles. Stolen livestock can be traced through brands registered with the Bureau of Livestock identification. What about your farm machinery, supplies and personal property? Suppose you had a chain saw stolen from your shop. Law Enforcement Officers apprehended a suspect with a number of chain saws in his possession. Could you distinguish your chainsaw from those on hand? Could you expect to get yours back? Thanks to a nationally established system your property would be returned if it was marked with an Owner Applied Number.

San Andreas Man Arrested for DUI after Major Injury Motorcycle Collision |

San Andreas, CA...On November 26, 2017, at approximately 1545 hours, Party #1 (Vanderwoude) was driving his Honda motorcycle westbound on Sunset Street approaching Russells Road at an undetermined speed. Due to his level of intoxication and the wet roadway conditions, Vanderwoude lost control of his vehicle and was ejected off of the motorcycle. Vanderwoude sustained major injuries and was ultimately transferred to Modesto Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
