San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce, The San Andreas Rotary and the San Andreas Merchants Association is hosting San Andreas Pioneer Day, Saturday, September 9, 2017. This is a brand new event and is a promotional activity for San Andreas. We are all interested in finding new ways to promote and revitalize our historic town and look forward to San Andreas Pioneer Day becoming an annual event.

Making sure our patients not only receive immediate expert attention, but also know who is treating them and how that treatment works, is a core goal of our hospital and reflects Dignity Health’s values. The mission of the task force is to develop solutions to the unique crimes afflicting the public in Calaveras County’s rural areas while protecting both people and property. The Task Force is committed to making our individuals, businesses and their property safer.

Golf Cart Tow Turns Fatal and Takes Life of Angels Camp Man |

Angels Camp, CA...This morning, San Andreas CHP officers were dispatched to a fatal traffic collision between a golf cart being towed and a Ford pickup. The driver of the golf cart, Cody Agasi Horn, was killed instantly when the golf cart crossed into the westbound lane and was struck by the Ford. The driver of the vehicle that was towing the golf cart fled the scene. Anyone with information concerning this collision is encouraged to contact San Andreas CHP at (209) 754-3541.

Labor Day Maximum Enforcement Period Statistics From San Andreas CHP |

San Andreas, CA...Between 6:00 pm Friday and 11:59 pm Monday, CHP Officers handled 2 traffic collisions, one of them non-injury involving a DUI driver and the other involving major injuries. We did make 3 DUI arrests during the MEP period.

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) will be holding its 19th Annual Fall Health Fair on Saturday, September 30th from 7am to noon at the Hospital Campus in San Andreas. “Our purpose is to serve our community in many ways,” said Bob Diehl, Hospital President. “MTMC cares deeply about the health and wellbeing of our community members and beyond. Hosting our annual health fairs is just one way that we are able to provide valuable and needed resources in our rural community.”

The declaration of default was due to non-payment of the total amount due for the taxes, assessments and other charges levied in the fiscal year 2013-2014 that were a lien on the listed real property.
