LEAD AGENCY: Calaveras County Planning Department, 891 Mountain Ranch Rd., San Andreas, CA 95249. 2017-144 ZONING AMENDMENT FOR VICTORIA TELLER Lot Line Adjustment 17-20 will re-locate the common boundary between two parcels by merging a portion of a parcel zoned Timber Production (TP) with a parcel zoned Rural Residential – 1.3-acre minimum parcel size (RR-1.3). The LLA creates a split zoning that must be resolved by way of an immediate rezone from the TP Zone the portion of APN: 024-001-033 merged with APN: 024-001-034 and APN: 024-001-034 from RR-1.3 to Residential Agriculture (RA). The reminder of APN: 024-001-033 will remain in the TP Zone. The subject parcel is located at 1810 Love Creek Road in Arnold, approximately 3.5 miles northeast of the intersection of Moran Road and Love Creek Road. APN: 024-001-033 & 034 are a portion of Section 34, T05N, R15E, MDM. A Negative Declaration has been prepared Pursuant to CEQA guidelines.

San Andreas, CA...The week of April 15-21, 2019, is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Appreciation week, also known as Dispatcher Appreciation Week. Dispatchers are the front line contacts for all incoming 911 calls to our office. They let you know that you are not alone and help is on the way. They are the calm voice in that moment of need and are responsible for obtaining information to relay it to first responders (Fire, Medical or Law Enforcement) in the field. The Calaveras Sheriff’s Department Dispatchers answer approximately 40,000 911 and non-emergency calls per year.

Retired CHP Officer Al Courtright Has Passed Away (Updated with Photo) |

San Andreas, CA...From the San Andreas CHP Office..."San Andreas CHP is saddened to report the sudden passing of Retired Officer Al Courtright on April 14, 2019. Officer Courtright began his career with CHP on July 18, 1966 and was assigned to the Baldwin Park area. Al transferred to San Andreas in 1971, serving the citizens of Calaveras County for 26 years, retiring from the San Andreas Office on December 29, 1997. After his career with the CHP he joined the Calaveras County Sheriff Department as a Reserve Deputy and Court Bailiff. Prior to the CHP, Officer Courtright served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

It became a member of Dignity Health, formerly Catholic Healthcare West, in 1996. The facility is a not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital serving all of Calaveras County, California. Over 300 employees provide the necessary services.
