Glasser will present “Awakening Greatness in Children: The Nurtured Heart Approach for Transforming Intensity to Immensity” on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. Space is limited and those interested are encouraged to register early. Howard Glasser is founder and chairman of the Children’s Success Foundation, and author of several best-selling books, including Transforming the Difficult Child, Notching Up the Nurtured Heart Approach ® (for ADHD), and All Children Flourishing. San Andreas, CA...56 projects were entered in the 30th Annual Calaveras County Science Fair, and of those 56 projects, our Science Fair judges selected winners from grades 4th – 8th and High School. The judges then selected two students to move on to participate in the 64th Annual California State Science Fair presented by the California Science Center. The State Fair will be held on Monday and Tuesday, May 18-19, 2015 located at the California Science Center located in Exposition Park, just south of downtown Los Angeles...

Elmhurst, IL...Murphys' resident Jenna Seims has earned her way onto the Dean's List at Elmhurst. Elmhurst College is a leading liberal arts college located eight miles west of Chicago. The Dean’s List is compromised of students, who during the semester concerned, attained a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher (out of a possible 4.00). Columbia, CA...The Columbia College Financial Aid Office invites the community to a free financial aid workshop on Saturday, February 28, 2015 between 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Starbucks located in the Junction shopping Center. No appointment necessary. Financial Aid professionals will be available to answer questions and provide one-on-one assistance to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application online.
