Victory for BH Varsity Girls Swim Team ~By Hanna Heath |

Angels Camp, CA.... Yesterday, the Bret Harte girls varsity swim team swam towards victory beating the Amador girls swim team 82 to 72. The 400 Free Relay team placed 1st with a time of 5:08. Swimmers included: R. Hecocks, H. Anderson, E. Hollett, M. Kappler. The Varsity boys came out with an overall score of 49, but also placed first in the 400 Free Relay with a time of 4:22.....

Larry Smith, Principal, will join us on camera to give you a brief history on CFLC and the goals of the school. We will also discuss BOS agenda and City of Angels Economic Growth meetings tomorrow, weekend recap including Tom's Classic Race, Little League Opening Day, 4-H Youth Poultry Fair and more! Moms in Touch Hosting a Special Event on May 3rd |

Vallecito, CA....For all women in Calaveras, Amador and Alpine, Moms In Touch (moms who meet together to pray for their children, teachers and the schools their children attend) will be having an event on Saturday May 3rd 8:30-1:30. We desire that all women teachers come as we want to recognize you for all your efforts in the classroom. Also, any moms with preschool- College/Career age children and Grandmothers that want to know more about MITI please come. Event will be held at Mt. Zion Biblical Garden 4997 Parrots Ferry Road, Vallecito Call Cherie Beuse at 795-0420 for more info.

Angels Camp, CA....The Bret Harte swim team has been trying their hardest with their facility and the amount of swimmers on the team this year. Even though they have lost several meets they have been swimming hard with great spirit and bliss. They will keep swimming until they can't swim anymore. Attached are the stats from last weeks meet against Linden......

Angels Camp, CA….Students from Avery Middle School and Mark Twain Elementary, along with their families attended the annual eighth grade family night at Bret Harte High School. As families arrived parents were able to schedule registration appointments for their incoming freshman. Students also received a high school packet filled with helpful information that will help guide them through high school smoothly…..

Calaveras County, CA....It’s time to start thinking about the next graduating senior class and their fun and exciting Sober Grad Night Party. Sober Grad Night began at Bret Harte in 1989. Those parents took the idea from Napa High School. Calaveras High joined in the fun in 1992. The purpose of Sober Grad Night is to keep our teenagers in a safe and chemical free environment, while giving them a fun graduation party at the same time. There have been no deaths or seniors....
