Student Attendance Matters Even During Distance Learning

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/24/2020 11:31 AM
Angels Camp – How much does it matter that your student participates in distance learning? It matters, just as much as when students are on school campuses. The Student Attendance Review Board (SARB) is in full force even during the distance learning model and is focused on supporting families and connecting them with services that will help struggling students get back on a successful track. Established by law, SARB is a multi-disciplinary team with representation from schools, non-profit community organizations, and government agencies. Current SARB members include counselors from our elementary and high school districts, a parent advocate, advocates from The Resource Connection-Calaveras Crisis Center, service professionals from the County Health and Human Services Agency, the District Attorney’s Office, the County Office of Education, and local law enforcement.

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/17/2020 09:14 PM
Washington, DC...Thank you very much. Thank you, Mike. A great Vice President. I am truly honored to be here at the very first White House Conference on American History. So important. Our mission is to defend the legacy of America’s founding, the virtue of America’s heroes, and the nobility of the American character. We must clear away the twisted web of lies in our schools and classrooms, and teach our children the magnificent truth about our country. We want our sons and daughters to know that they are the citizens of the most exceptional nation in the history of the world. (Applause.)

Presidential Proclamation on Constitution Day, Citizenship Day, And Constitution Week, 2020

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/17/2020 09:48 PM
Washington, DC...In the summer of 1787, fifty-five delegates from throughout the fledgling United States gathered at the Pennsylvania State House in Philadelphia, intent on erecting a government that would stand the test of time and protect hard‑won freedoms secured during the Revolutionary War. Two hundred and thirty-three years later, the document they produced — our Constitution — remains the bedrock of our system of government, one rooted in equality under the law and an unyielding commitment to individual liberty. On this day and during this week, we celebrate our great founding charter as an enduring beacon of freedom and strive toward active citizenship in service of its ideals.

Schools Remain a Valuable Resource to the Community

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/20/2020 02:29 PM
Angels Camp – Last school year, school sites began to offer the community a place get information, charge cell phones and get water during the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events. School campuses providing a valuable service to the community did not stop there. As challenging as this year has been, the schools continued to provide for the community. School gymnasiums where converted into back up medical facilities in anticipation of hospital impactions due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Although students have not been allowed back on campus, the community continues to receive benefits from the resources schools can offer.
