Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Cool temps prevail this morning as a brisk 23F is in effect at 5am. Clear skies are above and the day looks to be stellar. North northeast winds will be in the mid teens today with possible gusts into the mid 20’s. As the upper level ridge gains strength clear dry weather will remain over the area through Saturday and Sunday looks to bring a small disturbance in the force. 1-2″ is expected to fall during the day Sunday with another 1-3″ Sunday evening before the system makes it’s exit East. Elevations for that snowfall look to be around 4500-5000′ as the cooler temps influence productivity. Bear Valley, CA...In the winter we open the Meadow Cafe located 350 yards from the trailhead. Skiers, snowshoers, and pedestrians access the cafe on groomed trails and enjoy “alpine cuisine” on the deck or cozy indoor seating. New for the 2019/2020 winter season, a special Après-Ski menu is served Thursday through Saturday from 3:30-6:30pm.

Murphys, CA...On, Christmas Day, Wednesday December 25, Murphys Friends host the annual free community dinner from 1 to 3 PM at the Native Sons Hall on Main Street, Murphys. There will be turkey with all the trimmings, and gifts for the kids. The community dinner started 36 years ago in Angels Camp. It has become a tradition for many people, and Murphys Friends hopes it will become one of yours.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! Cool temps are in effect at 5am with 17F on the gauge as I write. Scattered snow showers are expected today which will only compliment the amazing skiing/riding that we have going on currently. With a high of 27F expected today it’s s stellar way to spend Christmas day ripping around the slopes with Family & Friends. The quick moving system will leave an inch or so of new snow today and tonight then clear out for Thursday and Friday bringing some breezy conditions as the surface gradient increases. Saturday we could see another shot of snow so stay tuned as I’ll have more on that in the next few days.It’s a great time to get yer riding game on so don’t forget to check out our Lifts and Trails page Daily for projected operations. Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People!!! 6" of new snow has fallen overnight bringing the current storm total to 13". a few inches of new snow is expected today with East winds up to 8mph. As the system heads Northeast we'll see residual spinoff over the next few days also coupled with the upstream energy we could see another pulse of snow on Christmas day before some drying out will occur. Saturday could bring in another shot of snow with those elevations being down around the 3000' mark as cold air pushes in with that system.
