Angels Camp, CA...In celebration of Rosé Day this weekend (June 13th), we have recently released our 2019 Rosé. The perfect wine for the upcoming summer season with it's crisp and refreshing flavors. It leaves you wanting more and more. And with the great case special we are offering, you'll be able to enjoy it all summer long. Classic perfect pink in color, this very crisp Rosé starts out with classic aromas of watermelon, strawberry and provenćal herbs. It also has developed some floral aromatics from the Trousseau blend. Bright strawberries and more watermelon fill out the flavor profile. The wine boasts high acidity that leaves your mouth watering. It finishes crisp and long with prevailing watermelon notes.

Peaceful Black Lives Matter Protests in Angels Camp Friday Afternoon |

Angels Camp, CA...The Black Lives Matter protests at the corner of Hwy 4 & Hwy 49 on Friday afternoon was peaceful and a busy one. When we stopped by shortly after 5pm the crowd had already started to fade. According to Calaveras Sheriff Rick DiBasilio who we spoke with at the event the crowds were much larger between 3-5pm. He was not only glad the protests were peaceful but that members of the community had the opportunity to make their voices heard.

AMA Football & Cheer Season is ON! Sign Ups this Saturday at Copello Park |

Angels Camp, CA...Great news from AMA..."As of now we are going to have a Football/Cheer season! It will be shorter than normal and start about a month later than usual, BUT we are on track to play!!! (This is subject to change) We will be having sign ups on-site Saturday’s at Copello from 8-1. We will be following social distancing recommendations and have easy-ups set up with a table underneath. They will be set up to allow a coach at one end sign up forms at the other while keeping the 6 foot distance. We will be taking measures to sanitize the table area and pens for your safety.

Arnold, CA...When driving down Hwy 4 past Ceder Center it was nice to hear music and see people sitting on the lawn at Bistro Espresso. Slowly but surely our economy is starting to recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic. Taco Tuesdays at Bistro will bring a celebratory weekday event to Arnold from now through fall. It runs every Tuesday from 6-8pm.

San Andreas, CA...From CAL-FIRE TCU & PG&E..."This evening CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit and San Andreas Fire Protection District responded to Cement Plant Road/Pool Station Road for a Sub Station Fire with extension into wildland. The fire is extinguished.

$5,000 in Scholarships Awarded to Calaveras & Bret Harte Graduates |

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Hospital Foundation Volunteers announced their 2020 high school scholarship recipients this month. A total of five, $1000.00 scholarships were awarded to Calaveras and Bret Harte High Schools graduating seniors. More than 50 applications were received and the selection process takes into account grade point average, community service and the student's interest in pursuing a health care related career.

The pertinent details are near the bottom of their update..."Yosemite National Park is working closely with federal, state, and local public health authorities, as well as the four surrounding counties (Mariposa, Tuolumne, Madera, and Mono), to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and develop a phased approach to increase recreational access and services.
