Calaveras High Celebrates Fire Program EMR Certifications

San Andreas, CA....Calaveras High Schools CTE (Career Technical Education) Fire Program just graduated these boys with their EMR (Emergency Medical Responders) Certifications. They put in collectively 2800 hours. Their teacher Suzanne Butler put this awesome ceremony together for them today. Thank you Assembly member Frank Bigelow for presenting resolutions to each student. Thank you Supervisor Ben Stopper for supporting our students. Thanks to Fire Chief Richard Dickerson, Chief Don Young and Chief Mike Dell’Orto for your support. Thank you Rick Dibasilio for your words of wisdom today. And most of all Thank you Parents!

She was pre-deceased by brother John William Bernard MacPherson, close cousins John Lawrence, Andy, Herb, George & Neal Sears, step-brother Richard Brine, brother-& sister-in-law Eddie & Jackie Taylor, sister-and brother-in-law Eva & Mark Polz, and beloved husband of over 60 years, Tommy Taylor.

Angels Camp, CA...(Frogtown)..The Colby Westberg Stockman Award will be presented by the Westberg Family to an exhibitor who exemplifies an outstanding work ethic, social responsibility and fortitude. Colby was active in 4-H, FFA and the Bret Harte High School football program. He raised swine and beef. He helped others and encouraged younger exhibitors. The award is given by his family in his memory.

Jamestown, CA...With an extraordinary spring wildflower season expected this year, California State Parks, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and the California State Railroad Museum Foundation are proud to provide guests with a unique opportunity to experience spring wildflowers from aboard a historic train. While the Park is open daily, special Wildflower Train Rides are available on two weekends – April 13-14 & 20-21 – and depart from the Depot promptly at 3 p.m. Prior to boarding the train, passengers will have the opportunity to learn about the wildflowers of California’s Sierra Nevada foothills with an informative naturalist presentation at 2:30 p.m.
