Murphys, CA..We had the pleasure to stop by Triffilo Garden Center to see their new Pumpkin Patch. It is adorable and makes a great destination for families and anyone getting into the fall spirit. Trifilo Garden Center will be yoru destination for fall, holidays, Christmas Trees, wreaths and much, much more. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday currently and additional additional opening days are coming soon. Please practice social distancing and follow posted notices. Trifilo Garden Center is a local, family-owned business located in Murphys, California. It is a full-service nursery with a variety of flowers, trees, shrubs, indoor/outdoor plants, succulents, and more. We feature native and local plants and trees, offer a wide-variety of supplies, and provide an environment of inspiration for all types of gardeners. We welcome you for a visit.

Natural Bridges Trail to Reopen as Reclamation Announces New Melones Lake Seasonal Operations Changes |

Tuttletown, CA....The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled recreation area closures, changes to hours of operations and the reopening of Natural Bridges at New Melones Lake beginning November 1. The closures will be from November 1, 2020, through March 31, 2021, and will allow Reclamation to replace waterlines, perform other necessary maintenance tasks and allow for natural resource recovery.

Murphys, CA...Donate your gently used shoes to our annual Shoe Drive to Wear Out Poverty! Shoes will be cleaned, repaired and distributed to those in need domestically and internationally. Shoes are also provided to start micro-businesses, with proceeds going to purchase new shoes for children and adults wherever there is a need. Currently, Soles4Souls is distributing thousands of pairs of shoes to victims of wildfires in California and Oregon.

We understand that with the proliferation of COVID-19, we are all facing very uncertain times. We at American Pickers are taking the pandemic very seriously and will be following all guidelines and protocols for safe filming as outlined by the state and CDC. While we plan to be in California this December, we will continue to re-schedule if conditions change for the worse. Chances are we have what you're looking for!! In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we're still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you've got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered. Click on images below for larger versions
