Oreo is Your Calaveras County Animal Services Pet of the Week!

Posted by: News_Desk on 02/22/2021 03:27 PM
San Andreas, CA... Meet Oreo, a delightful shorthaired black and white tuxedo junior. Oreo can be on the shy side when meeting new people. She’s also likely not the first kitty to run up to you in greeting but once she’s been properly introduced, her loving personality emerges. A real sweetheart who adores being petted, belly rubs and scratched behind the ears, Oreo is also a wonderful playmate to her other kitty friends in their communal room. We feel she would do best adopted with another cat or into a home with a gentle, friendly feline who would welcome her companionship.

President Biden on the More Than 500,000 American Lives Lost to COVID-19

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/22/2021 10:27 PM
Washington, DC...Each day, I receive a small card in my pocket that I carry with me in my schedule. It shows the number of Americans who have been infected by or died from COVID-19. Today, we mark a truly grim, heartbreaking milestone: 500,071 dead. That’s more Americans who have died in one year in this pandemic than in World War One, World War Two, and the Vietnam War combined. That’s more lives lost to this virus than any other nation on Earth.

Hey Good People!! Your Bluebird Pure Mountain Fun Day Awaits at Skyline Bear Valley!!

Posted by: thepinetree on 02/21/2021 10:47 AM
Hey Good People! A beautiful morning here at the resort with a current temperature of 28F and a high today of 34F. Northeast winds will be felt in the single digit range today so couple that with some recent snowfall and great grooming and off-piste riding here at the resort and you’ve got some Pure Mountain Fun ahead of you! The Snow Valley/Grizz Bowl is skiing & riding well as the recent snowfall deleted the icy type conditions that prevailed for the last 4 days. As the upper level ridge takes a firm grip on the West Coast warming temps and dry weather will be the norm over the next week or so. It’s possible these conditions may linger a bit longer but the caveat is occasional inside slider type events which typically are 6-10″ of snowfall range when they happen. This weather season has been a different one for sure but with 75″ as our current base and 100% open terrain skiing and riding will be great for weeks to come as we may even experience slight spring type conditions. Get out and ski/ride and enjoy the Pure Mtn Fun ethos! Stay tuned……..
