$20 million Available for Shovel-Ready Forest & Wildfire Resilience Projects in Sierra Nevada

Auburn, CA...The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC), a California state agency, announced the availability of $20 million dollars for the implementation of shovel-ready forest health projects in the region. The Immediate Action Wildfire and Forest Resilience directed grant program was made possible by an early action wildfire and forest resilience budget approved by the legislature and the Governor earlier today. The early action budget includes $20 million for the SNC and is part of a $1-billion forest and wildfire resilience funding proposal under consideration by state leaders.

Bear Valley, CA...The Bear Valley Music Festival is a 53-year old icon in our community, and only a pandemic could make us miss a year. After much analysis, conversations with the state and county health officials, and listening to over 500 of you via the survey we sent out in February we are thrilled to announce that we’re back. We expect to make a formal announcement in early May that will include our robust safety protocols, the programming line-up and this year’s ticket sales process.

Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! A beautiful day is ahead with a high of 52F and a Northeast wind up to 14mph. Everyone on slope is skiing and riding around on great conditions as the “ego spring corn style snow” is making for tons of fun out on the hill. High pressure has certainly kicked in over the last week and sans a slight chance of snow next Tuesday we look to remain in high pressure type conditions with average temps pushing 5-10F above normal for the next 7-10 days. Spring style skiing is in full effect and coverage is great on the hill so get out and ski/ride and enjoy the Pure Mtn Fun ethos! Stay tuned……..

Arnold, CA...We had the pleasure to stop by Hinterhaus recently to hear their story of perseverance and progress of starting a business during 2020. As our economy slowly opens back up they are now offering tastings for the first time. Their announcement follows as does our interview.
