Murphys, CA..We had the pleasure to stop by Triffilo Garden Center to see their new Pumpkin Patch. It is adorable and makes a great destination for families and anyone getting into the fall spirit. Trifilo Garden Center will be yoru destination for fall, holidays, Christmas Trees, wreaths and much, much more. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday currently and additional additional opening days are coming soon. Please practice social distancing and follow posted notices. Angels Camp, CA...The Board of Directors is excited to announce the 2021 Fair Slogan, "Back in the Saddle" submitted by Michele Rugo of Murphys CA. The board received 50 submissions. Some of the other entries will be signs at the upcoming Fair. Michele will receive a VIP package to the 2021 Calaveras County Fair, May 13-16.
Valley Springs, CA...From the Calaveras Sheriff's Dept..."Do you remember when Calaveras Sheriff's Deputy Emmi rescued the Eagle at Hogan Lake a few months ago? Well today "Joey" was able to be released back into the wild! The Eagle, previously thought to be a Golden Eagle was determined to be a juvenile female Bald Eagle. Joey was anxious to get back into the wild and wasted no time! Special thanks to Tri County Wildlife Care and Hogan Rangers."

San Francisco, CA...Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has notified customers in targeted portions of 21 counties about a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) as early as Wednesday afternoon. Hot and dry conditions combined with expected high wind gusts pose an increased risk for damage to the electric system that has the potential to ignite fires in areas with dry vegetation.
