San Andreas, CA...On Wednesday May 19, 2021 Sheriff Rick DiBasilio proudly held a Promotional, Hiring, and Affirmation of Office Ceremony. The promotions consisted of: Rachelle Whiting- Promoted from Lieutenant to Captain, Chris Villegas- Promoted from Sergeant to Lieutenant, Rudi Leon- Promoted from Corporal to Sergeant, DeAyrian Greaves- Promoted from Corporal to Sergeant, Samantha King- Promoted from Deputy to Corporal, Bret Belshe- Promoted from Deputy to Corporal, Brandon Reynolds- Promoted from Correctional Officer to Correctional Corporal, Megan High- Promoted from Correctional Officer to Correctional Corporal. New hires consisted of: Joseph DeAngelis- Deputy Sheriff, William Gray- Deputy Sheriff, Jade Kesterson- Dispatch Clerk.

Tioga Pass Scheduled to Open for Summer May 27th for Trips Through Yosemite |

Yosemite, CA...Tioga Road (the continuation of Highway 120 through the park) will tentatively open on Thursday, May 27, at 8 am, weather and conditions permitting. Check nps.gov/yose for updates. Please protect wildlife by obeying speed limits. The Tuolumne Meadows Store, Grill, and Post Office will tentatively open on May 28, conditions permitting.

White Pines, CA...The Show will go on in 2021! Official State Reopening timing will affect permitting on Hwy 4 & force a change of parade route from down Hwy 4 to Blagen Road. GABA’s 40th Independence Day Parade will be July 3rd at 10:00 am Blagen Road in White Pines. The Parade Route is Independence Hall to Hazel Fischer Elementary School. Arnold, CA...The Arnold Rim Trail Association has received a $10,000 matching grant from the National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance to rebuild 18 miles of the Arnold Rim Trail that were damaged by a monster winter storm or have years of deferred maintenance.
