New York, NY...National September 11 Memorial & Museum located at the World Trade Center lead the nation in commemorating the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks that took the lives of 2,977 men, women and children in New York City, Arlington, Va. and near Shanksville, Pa. Twenty years after the attacks that changed our world forever, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum stands as a sacred symbol of fortitude and resilience in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Stoystown, PA...Two decades after September 11, Flight 93 National Memorial observed the 20th anniversary and honor the 40 passengers and crew members who were aboard Flight 93 that day. With public health in mind, the observance will be limited to family members and invited guests and livestreamed on the park’s Facebook page.
The ceremony began on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 9:45 a.m. EDT at the Memorial Plaza. At 10:03 a.m., the moment Flight 93 crashed, the names of the passengers and crew members were read with the ringing of the Bells of Remembrance.

Angels Camp, CA..(Frogtown, USA)...Cross Country is back and we have an event Saturday, September 18, 2021. Hosted by Bret Harte High School, the fairgrounds will have as many as 1,000 kids, coaches and parents throughout the day. Local eateries may expect an increase in business and residents may experience traffic delays.

San Andreas, CA... Calling all Siamese aficionados! Meet masked banditos BEN (lighter mask) and JERRY (darker mask), gorgeous two-year old brothers who appear to be purebred Seal Point Siamese. The brothers are very sweet, friendly and affectionate, but tend to be a little shy when meeting new people. They have calm, quiet temperaments and need a home with caregivers who will give them consistent love and attention that will allow their personalities to blossom. Ben and Jerry are a bonded pair and must be adopted together, preferably to a household without dogs, and must be indoors only. The boys have been neutered and are ready to go home with you right away.

Arnold, CA...Well with Labor Day in the rearview mirror it is time to start think about fall. Cool crisp mornings, warm comfortable afternoons and a sweatshirt or two to take the chill out of the air in the evenings. Well that remains just a fantasy as we have triple digit temps for most of our areas and heat warnings till Thursday. The Detailed forecast for West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada. Today, Mostly sunny. Haze and patchy smoke. Highs 78 to 93 higher elevations...91 to 103 lower elevations. Prevailing east winds up to 10 mph shifting to the west in the afternoon.

San Andreas, CA...State Route 49 in San Andreas will be impacted by the Annual CHS Homecoming Parade on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Main Street and Court Street will be closed to through traffic during the Annual CHS Homecoming Uptown Rally. Please observe all traffic control signs and follow designated alternate routes.
