Hey Good People!! Your Pure Mountain Fun Awaits at Skyline Bear Valley!!

Posted by: thepinetree on 03/08/2021 08:02 AM
Bear Valley, CA...Hey Good People! A mixed day of clear skies in the am then shifting to a chance of showers by mid-day. The temp looks to plummet to 21F by noon so with the wind values in the teens to low 20’s with gusting to the 30’s it’s going to feel a bit chilly. Snow showers continue through tonight as the system gains strength with 3-7″ expected to fall during the day Tuesday, 8-12′ Tuesday night and another 3-7″ on Wednesday before heading east. Unsettled weather with snow showers will continue until Thursday then it looks like some clearing for the weekend. .Let’s keep our finger crossed more favorable over water trajectory occurs come mid-March as things do look more favorable during that time for more robust snowfall. Coverage is great out on the hill with 100% terrain open so get out and ski/ride and enjoy the Pure Mtn Fun ethos! Stay tuned……..

Bear Valley, CA...The Bear Valley Adventure Company (BVAC) is excited to offer cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and tubing experiences for the 2020/2021 winter season. Since COVID-19 is alive and well, we have instituted some new rules in order to keep everyone safe. Help keep the Bear Valley winter wonderland open by supporting the following changes: General: Do not visit BVAC if you are feeling ill; this includes our groomed trails. Masks covering your nose and mouth are required inside the store, and anywhere social distancing (minimum 6 feet separation from others) cannot be maintained. On busy days, such as weekends and holidays: Be prepared to wait outside the store to maintain healthy spacing indoors. Plan to dress accordingly.

Angels Camp, CA... On Wednesday and Friday, February 24th and 26th, 2021, the Bret Harte High School FFA Chapter previewed the annual Kiss-A-Pig event through a virtual video that was displayed in the classrooms. While the tradition typically carried out with Bret Harte students putting money into their favorite teachers “pig cans” and winners kissing their animals at a rally, this year had to be reinvented. The entire school body voted online and submitted their votes all electronically. The 1st place winner kisses a Pig, second place kisses a sheep and third place kisses a chicken.
