Arnold, CA...We originally posted this for Father's Day in 2006. My father would turn 106 this year if he were here today. This poem was my father's favorite. This one is dedicated to my Father...Jay S. Hamilton. Dad was born in November 22, 1916 and died in May 1, 1991 of a Glioblastoma brain tumor. His life saw deep tragedy but he always rose above it. He was born in a house in rural Oklahoma with no electricity or running water. His Mom burned to death when he was 9 years old from a kerosene lantern fire while he was at home.....

While we do accept walk-ins, contacting us ahead of time to make your reservation is the best way to ensure that we have a bike ready for you in the correct size and style as soon as you arrive at our shop. If you rent a bike and decide that you can’t live without it, we’ll gladly put your rental fee towards the purchase of a new bike. Take home a new bicycle within 30 days of your bike rental and we’ll credit you up to one week’s worth of rental fees!

Arnold, CA...What has traditionally ben the largest and longest parade in Calaveras County is back and better than ever for 2022! It will be back to its regular cozy confines of Hwy 4 from the Arnold Byway to Cedar Center. The Parade will start at 10am on July 2nd and its still not to late to get your entry in and join the parade. GABA will be limiting the parade to the first 100 entries. Murphys, CA… Black Sheep Winery arrived in Murphys with the 1984 harvest. From that first harvest we produced our 1984 Amador Zinfandel. The wine was styled in a big, bold way like nobody else could do. That’s what makes us Black Sheep; we’re different from the rest of the flock. We feature small batches of limited release wines handcrafted from high quality grapes grown in Calaveras and Amador Counties. We produce about 2,500 cases of wine per year, specializing in Zinfandels and Rhone varietals.

Events for both the young and older, brings inspiration to all and sparks memories in those who have attended the fly-in as well as those who served our country. Pilots look forward to bringing their beautiful, historic aircraft to our fly-in, a family friendly event complete with children's activities and live music. The event will host plane demonstrations, static displays, plane/car races, and much more! Sponsored by the Columbia Airport. Event is free except for dinner and special experiences, such as rides, have a fee.
