In addition to Congressman McClintock there were speakers from the Stanislaus National Forest, Cal-Fire, Sierra Pacific Industries, University of California Watershed Specialist, Tuolumne Office of Emergency Services, Hwy 108 Fire Safe Council, Safe Schools & CERT.

The tower project a joint effort between the American Red Cross, Calaveras County Water District and the Sheriff’s Office that is designed to improve radio coverage and capabilities for first responders, while making the system more robust.
