Murphys, CA...Annual Spring Fundraiser benefiting Shakespeare on the Vine Theatre Company. Saturday, May 4th at 1:00pm at Brice Station Vineyards - 3353 East Hwy. 4. Come celebrate Shakespeare on the Vine's 5th season and the announcement of our 2019 production of William Shakespeare's MACBETH. Murphys, CA....Put on your favorite Kentucky Derby Hat and race on down to the Murphys Historic Hotel for the 9th annual Chili Cook Off sponsored by Soroptimist International of Calaveras County! On Saturday, May 4th Chili Cookers and Tasters will gather on the Hotel lawn from 11 am to 2 pm for this fun, family event with live music from Plan B Band! This year’s theme, “Derby DeMayo” will find most everyone in their best Derby Hat enjoying a variety of Chili recipes, with fabulous Raffle Basket opportunities!

Arnold, CA...The Annual Arnold & Ebbetts Pass Corridor Wildfire Community Preparedness Meeting. Is Saturday, May 4th, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Independence Hall, 1445 Blagen Road in Arnold. This annual meeting is a great way to raise awareness of wildfire risks in our area and how to mitigate that risk and be prepared in case a fire does threaten our area.

San Andreas, CA...Last Friday an unveiling ceremony was held to honor Dr. Bill Griffin's service to the community with naming MTMC's Medical Imaging Center the "William Griffin M.D. Diagnostic Imaging Center". Dr. Bill Griffin had served at the hospital since April, 1989, Dr. Bill Griffin has served our community as a Radiologist, Chief of Staff, and Corporate Board Chair.
