Murphys, CA...We lost my daughter's kids kayak on Murphys Grade Rd this morning. Someone picked it up before we could get back to it. My daughter is 2 and really loves her kayak! It is a Lifetime Wave kayak, blue with pink flowers on it.

San Andreas, CA...State Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara and his staff will host a Town Hall Meeting on Monday September 16, 2019 at 6 pm. The Town Hall will be held at San Andreas Town Hall, 24 Church Hill Road, San Andreas, CA. The Insurance Commissioner will present about the current state of getting and maintaining homeowner’s insurance in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI). This informational discussion will provide statewide trend data, consumer protection laws update and risk reduction through prevention and mitigation. The public is invited to attend and share personal experiences with insurance nonrenewal and rate increases with the Commissioner and his staff. (Editor's Note...Below is our video from the meeting in Tuolumne County. Let's hope past is not prologue and they come prepared with more concrete solutions)

Previous Champions the Grapeful Dead came back stronger than ever after an injury kept them out of last year's stomp competition. Another great story was the Local father and son duo of Matt & Sewell Hatcher who stomped their way into third. For 25 years the Calaveras Grape Stomp has brought thousands of people to historic Downtown Murphys for a day of fun and entertainment the first Saturday in October!
