Murphys, CA..."The Mark Twain Health Care District hosted a Pot Luck today to raise awareness for Fall Prevention.
Today is National Fall Prevention Day, and "Stay Vertical, Calaveras" participants practiced Tai Chi and had lunch at Murphys Park. Participants from all over the county attended to learn more about the very popular Tai Chi for Fall Prevention classes."

San Andreas, CA...Meet Amigo, a Queensland Heeler mix, estimated to be about two years of age. A happy and handsome fellow, his eyes will melt your heart. No matter what is going on in Amigo’s world, his tail is always wagging and he’s ready for his next adventure. The people who found him reported that he played well with their dog but chased their cats, so a feline-free home would be best. A delightful pup with lots of potential, Amigo has made good progress learning to walk in a harness though would benefit from obedience training. We are confident his leash manners will continue to improve away from the distractions of the shelter.

Angels Camp, CA...Bret Harte Bullfrogs under the tutiledge of new Head Coach Kelly Osborn won Friday's home game against Arroyo High School from San Lorenzo 13-7. The Bret Harte JV Bullfrogs also took their game 18 to 7!! The Bullfrogs played a tough, error free, gritty game. We have full game video below. We have the 2nd half of the JV Game and the entire Varsity Game with a separate clip for half time.

Some of the artists on our tour rarely exhibit publicly, so this is an opportunity to meet them and see their work. It encourages a close personal relationship between artists and art lovers.

Arnold, CA...The 24th annual Logging Jamboree was August 31st at the Sierra Nevada Logging Museum. Prizes, BBQ by Moose, Silent Auction, Kids Games & more. This wonderful annual Labor Day Weekend jamboree had something for adults and children. The Arnold Rim Trail Association again had a booth at the Jamboree, as the Calaveras District of the Forest Service. Located in White Pines. Delicious food and beer, wine and soft drinks were available. Raffles with cool prizes & more added to the great cross cut sawing, axe throwing, chain saw events and more.
