Linda Bowser, 69 From Stockton Lost Her Life In Hwy 4 Collision This Morning |

Copperopolis, CA...A Copperopolis man was stopped for road construction in his Freightliner truck in the eastbound traffic lane. Mrs Bowser was driving her Dodge van eastbound, approaching the stopped traffic with a North Highlands man traveling behind her. For an unknown reason, Mrs Bowser allowed her vehicle to drift to the right and partially onto the shoulder. She failed to observe the stopped traffic and the front left corner of her vehicle impacted the right rear corner of the stopped Freightliner. The North Highlands man observed the collision however he was unable to stop his vehicle and the front of his Isuzu impacted the Dodge van. Unfortunately, Mrs Bowser sustained fatal injuries in the collision. The roadway was blocked with one way traffic control for approximately 3 hours.

Investigation Continues Into Suspicious Death Of San Andreas Woman |

San Andreas, CA...On September 21, 2016 at 9:27 AM Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an apartment at the Creekside Apartment complex, San Andreas for a welfare check on one of the tenants that had not been seen recently. A deputy located a deceased person inside the apartment. Sheriff’s Detectives responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. Investigators learned that a silver 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV (California License Plate 7NUG011) registered to the tenant is unaccounted for at this time. The identity of the victim cannot be confirmed until an autopsy can be completed, but it appears to be a female adult.

Oh Deer, Minor Injuries In Rollover Collision On Hwy 4 This Morning |

Murphys, CA....A San Andreas man was driving a 2001 Honda Passport eastbound on SR-4 east of Northwood Drive at 50 miles per hour. A deer ran from the left side of the road, across the westbound lane and into the eastbound lane. He observed the deer in his path and applied the brakes, but was unable to avoid a collision and the right front of the Honda struck the deer. The San Andreas man lost control of this vehicle and it traveled onto the south shoulder. The Honda traveled up the dirt embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn and come to rest in the the roadway, blocking the eastbound lane.
