Twain Harte, CA...Yesterday we reported on an ATV rollover collision off of Lazy Z Lane. Tragically it ended with the death of the involved. From Sonora CHP today..."On April 6, 2021, at approximately 2:10 pm, an 81-year-old male from Sonora was riding his 2006 Kawasaki 650 ATV while traversing up a steep hill on his property. For unknown reasons, the ATV stalled and began to roll backwards. The rider attempted to steer the ATV as it was rolling backwards which caused him to get ejected and hit a tree. Subsequently, the ATV rolled over onto its side and landed on top of the rider.

Washington, DC...Today, the Biden-Harris Administration is announcing six initial actions to address the gun violence public health epidemic. The recent high-profile mass shootings in Boulder – taking the lives of 10 individuals – and Atlanta – taking the lives of eight individuals, including six Asian American women – underscored the relentlessness of this epidemic. Gun violence takes lives and leaves a lasting legacy of trauma in communities every single day in this country, even when it is not on the nightly news. In fact, cities across the country are in the midst of a historic spike in homicides, violence that disproportionately impacts Black and brown Americans. The President is committed to taking action to reduce all forms of gun violence – community violence, mass shootings, domestic violence, and suicide by firearm.
La Grange, CA...Tuolumne County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for leads and a suspect in connection with a homicide in La Grange over the weekend. The deputies were called to a home on Highway 132 on Sunday afternoon for a report of a “murder”. Two Mariposa County deputies were already on scene with the person who reported the crime.
Deputies arrived on scene and began a search of the property. They discovered a man’s body in a bedroom of the residence.
