Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept..."We want to reassure concerned families and community members following some disturbing reports that came into our office. This morning, our office received several reports of a man touching himself in the view of the public in Jamestown and then on the Highway 108 overpass behind Lowe’s Home Improvement store. Several families who were stopped in traffic with their young children, observed the sexual act.

Copperopolis, CA...On 8/28/2019, the Calaveras Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Unit served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation on a location in the 3000 block of Wagonwheel Drive in Copperopolis. During the investigation, Deputies located 615 growing marijuana plants growing in areas surrounding the house. Additionally, Deputies discovered a dog, a cat, and over 150 chickens housed in small pens which included approximately 100 large roosters. Numerous dead chickens were found in the pens with live chickens.

Calaveras Marijuana Enforcement Unit Conducted Raids in Rail Road Flat & Copperopolis |

Rail Road Flat, CA...On 8/27/2019, the Calaveras Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Unit served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation on a location in the 1000 block of Simpson Rd in Railroad Flat. During the investigation, deputies located and eradicated 741 growing marijuana plants and a small amount of processed marijuana. Calaveras County Code Compliance responded to the scene and red tagged the property for county code violations including some related to unpermitted structures. No subjects were found on scene, however the investigation is ongoing.

Major Injuries to Hughson Man in Traffic Collision Last Week |

La Grange, CA...On August 29, 2019, at approximately 3:35pm, 45-year-old Paul Menear of Hughson, was driving alone in a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup eastbound on State Route 132, just west of Enebro Way at approximately 40-45 miles per hour. For and unknown reason, Mr. Menear allowed his vehicle to drift to the left over the double yellow lines, across the opposing lane and off the north roadway edge of State Route 132. As a result, his vehicle traveled down a steep embankment and overturned several times.

Odessa, TX...From the Odessa Police Dept..."Update: The suspect has been shot and killed by an officer. We believe there is no immediate threat at this time. At this time there are a total of 20 shooting victims and 5 confirmed deaths. The Odessa Police Department would like to thank all assisting agencies and the public for their assistance during this tragic event.
