CAL Fire reported an escaped debris burn that spread to a small spot of vegetation at 4660 Block Riata Way in the Circle XX Area. There were no injuries and dollar damage reported. Full CAL Fire report enclosed.....

Wilseyville, CA....There was an escaped debris burn at 4780 June Avenue in Wilseyville on Sunday April 6th. The fire was contained at 1/.4 acre vegetation. No dollar damage or injuries reported. The CAL Fire report is enclosed.....

San Andreas Structure Fire & Live Power Lines Fell Across Hwy 49 This Morning~By John Hamilton Updated with Video

San Andreas, CA...There was a fire this morning at Hwy 49 and Pool Station Road possibly due to downed PG&E wires. The Little Miner 49'er Preschool was damaged in the fire. Hwy 49 was closed for about 1/2 hour this morning but is now re-opened. Speculation is that the fire may have been caused by a heater in the interior of the structure igniting due to the power fluctuations from the PG&E line that arched. Luckily there was nobody inside. Sheriff's Deputy Arrests Juveniles for String of Burglaries

Dorrington, CA....On Monday evening, March 31, 2008, The Calaveras County Sheriffs Offce arrested 2 juveniles for burglary and possession of stolen property in the Dorrington area. Deputies believe the pair who are brothers, are responsible for an estimated 16 residential burglaries in the area. Sheriffs Deputy Chris Dorsey was conducting extra patrol in the area of Chum ash Circle in response to a recent rash of burglaries in the area. Winton-Schaads Prescribed Burn

San Andreas, CA....The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) will be conducting a prescribed burn in the Lily Valley area east of West Point. The 6,342 acre Winton-Schaads Prescribed Burn will be divided up into 20-30 acre areas which will be treated starting April 8, 2008 with burns possible through May 31, 2008. One to two CAL FIRE engines along with personnel from Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) will conduct the burn.....

TRAFFIC NEWS.....Ambulance Responding to Vehicle Collision at Hwy 49

CHP is reporting a vehicle Collision with Ambulance Responding at Hwy 49 just north of Calaveras Cement Company. Apparently there is a vehicle 6' off of the roadway. No other details available at this time....We will keep you updated if needed.

Motor Vehicle Accident Sends One to Doctor's Hospital of Modesto

CHP is reporting a dual motor vehicle accident on March 31st at Hwy 49 and 26. A 34 year old Ione man was taken to Doctor's Hospital of Modesto with minor injuries and a 17 year old youth did not suffer any injuries. Full CHP release enclosed.....
