Blow on the Dice and Count Yourself Lucky!

Posted by: thepinetree on 01/25/2010 05:44 PM
Sonora, CA...Sierra Rep is polishing up a winner to open its 31st season: Guys and Dolls, Frank Loesser’s musical comedy classic filled with bright lights, big bets and all the loveable wise guys you could want packed onto one stage. Guys and Dolls: A Musical Fable of Broadway takes to Sierra Rep’s East Sonora stage February 6 through March 28th. It’s a stylized Valentine set on the streets of the Big Apple, a fictional world where the dames are sassy, the hoods have heart and the biggest worry is where to move the dice game. Add to that a charming pair of love stories and a slew of Broadway’s best-ever .....

The bright lights on Broadway are a bettor’s paradise. Center: Sky Masterson (John C. Brown) takes a roll while Benny Southstreet (Michael Misko, left) hope things go his way. Missionary Sarah Brown (Amy Bloom, second from left) looks on with dismay while Nathan Detroit (Chip Duford, right) has some explaining to do to Adelaide (Christine Rowan).
