Hollywood, CA...Does Star Wars really need a review? You’d be hard pressed to find a more multigenerational and beloved film franchise, and the new film—Episode VII to be precise—was guaranteed to be a massive hit no matter what, bound to succeed on its legacy alone. The Force Awakens is practically hardwired to tap into this nostalgia shared by millions of fans (and, in the interest of full disclosure, I include myself among this number), with its emphasis on practical effects, location shots, and more of the classic elements of the series.

Bear Valley, CA...Bear Valley Village has been the center of local New Year's celebrations for years. This year was no exception with Jeff Campbell, Megan Slankard & DJ Halftrack providing the music followed by the balloon drop at midnight. Then the revelers make their way outside to witness a great fireworks show. Neil Hunt, his family & friends have another Bear Valley New Year's Tradition. They don snowshoes and trek to the top of Bloods Ridge and enjoy the fireworks with the snow and mountains as the backdrop. We would like to thank Neil for sharing a few photos with us again this year. Happy New Year Everyone!! May 2016 be a great one...

Murphys, CA...Every year on the first Friday in December, Murphys celebrates the start of the holiday season with a community Open House from 5 to 8 pm on Historic Main Street. Admission is free, the streets are closed to traffic and the town is ready to celebrate. A favorite of locals, the annual event is an old-fashioned celebration featuring a parade, holiday treats and entertainment hosted by Main Street merchants, restaurants, wineries and the Murphys Business Association. Musicians and carolers fill the streets with the sounds of the seasons, Santa arrives with the parade, lights the tree and stays for photos with the kids in the Native Sons Hall. Over 200 Photos Here
