The Bear Valley Music Festival Returns For It's 48th Year |

Bear Valley, CA...Now in its 48th year, the Bear Valley Music Festival begins on Friday, July 22 and runs through Sunday, August 7 with a total 15 concerts including a special free family matinee on Saturday, July 30. The festival showcases a wide selection of artists and genres including rock, classical, bluegrass and jazz. A mere 3.5-hour drive from San Francisco, Bear Valley is known primarily as a ski resort. Now in its third year under the artistic leadership of internationally recognized conductor Michael Morgan, the music festival has put Bear Valley and the Highway 4 corridor on the map as a summer destination as well drawing an audience of thousands.

Open Thursday through Sunday from noon until 4 pm from the first of April to about the first of December, depending on the weather. The Sierra Nevada Logging Museum • Conveys the history of the logging and lumbering industry as it evolved in the Sierra Nevada region since the mid 1800s before the discovery of gold to the present day. • Educates visitors about the economic, social, cultural and environmental effects of this industry on the development of communities in the Sierra Nevada. • Acts as a resource center for education and historical research. • Describes current trends in the Sierra Nevada logging and lumber industry, and the social and economic influences that continue to shape it. • Keeps the history of the logging industry in the Sierra Nevada region alive so that its historical relevance is not lost.

Angels Camp, CA...Studio 4 Dance Theater’s Spring Showcase 2016 will once again thrill the audience as they perform their unique version of the ballet classic “Alice in Wonderland.” The Spring Showcase has only two performances: 7pm, Friday, April 29, and 3pm, Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Bret Harte Theater in Angels Camp, and it’s appropriate for all ages.
