| Jamestown, CA...With fall just around the corner, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park (SHP) is proud to offer crowd-pleasing “Harvest Haunt Express” train rides on four upcoming consecutive weekends: October 8-9, October 15-16, October 22-23 and October 29-30. Staffed by a “skeleton crew,” the popular train rides take place aboard an excursion train that departs on-the-hour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Saturdays, the excursion train will be pulled by Sierra No. 3 (the “Movie Star Locomotive”) and on Sundays by a vintage diesel locomotive..... |

Murphys, CA...For the first time ThePineTree.net sponsored a team in the 2011 Grape Stomp. The Hamilton boys Granger and Grayson or the G-Bros stomped their way through a heat. Our 60 lbs. stomper will need to be fattened up before next years contest. For the mucker's position were are in pretty good shape

Five couples have rehearsed for the past few months and will show their dancing skills on October 8th at Ironstone Vineyards in support of the Angels Camp Family Medical Center. To make the evening even more fun, the theme will be “Unveil the Night”, a Venetian Gala with masks, fabulous live auction items and a Treasure Chest. The live auction includes an imperial bottle of local Barberas grown by Hatcher, La Folia and Frog’s Tooth Wineries in Murphys (blended by Matt Hatcher) that will be presented in a specially designed box by Cabinets n More....

The 2011 Concours d' Elegance is in the Record Books....Full Awards Ceremony Video and Over 370 Photos |

Murphys, CA...The 2011 Ironstone Concours d' Elegance is in the record books. Best of Show in the Closed Class went to Wally and Sylvia Hamilton in their 1941 Mercury Woody Wagon. In the Open Class John Muckel in his 1915 Stutz Bearcat took home top honors. There were also many class and special category winners. The biggest winners were the attendees and the area that is bustling during Concours weekend. It was another great show. Ironstone was literally designed for this event. The manicured grounds of the Ironstone Winery and the terraces of the amphitheater were designed to be large enough to accommodate events such as this as well as concerts....
The Ironstone Concours Is the First Event we Covered for ThePineTree.net back in 2005 so it Holds a Special Place in our Hearts. Starting in 2006 we have taken photos of each piece of rolling art to enter each year. This year with the shots of the field and of the awards ceremony we have over 370 photos and the entire Awards Ceremony in HD. We hope you enjoy it and plan to attend in 2012 on the 4th Saturday of September.
