Columbia, CA...From the Polynesian islands to the tip of South America, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival again shows us the precious and precarious beauty of our world . Ebbetts Pass Forest Watch presents the final screening of 2011 of the Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival on Tour Saturday, November 5, 5:15PM:00 P.M. at Columbia College. Films range in topic from corporate responsibility, impacts of global warming on small islands to wild sea adventures in South America. The following feature films will be shown...
Angels Camp, CA...The parking lot at Greenhorn Creek was filed with Zombies, in various sizes and ages as a local contingent of dancers joined with almost 230 other groups around the world as part of the "Thrill The World" project in an attempt to get into the Guinness Book of World Records from their site.. "Thrill The World is a worldwide attempt to break the Largest Simultaneous Dance with Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Thousands of people in cities around the world will learn “Thriller,” dance and perform it together on the day that Thrill The World takes place." that time for Angels Camp was last night at exactly 7pm...

28th Annual LAMPLIGHT TOUR at Columbia State Historic Park

Columbia, CA...Friends of Columbia and Columbia State Historic Park will once again surprise and delight participants on the evenings of December 2nd and 3rd with a celebration of the Christmas spirit during the 28th annual Lamplight Tour. This year’s production ‘Twas a Night in Columbia will celebrate the holiday spirit in the year of 1862, with a tour by lamplight through small vignettes while volunteers act out a story in the streets of Columbia. The tour will culminate with music and refreshments in Angelo’s Hall. These magical holiday night tours only happen once a year so make your reservations early...
