Murphys, CA...Well, she’s at it again. Jenny has added a Kansas City Style Bar-b-cue to her Yogurt Your Way shoppe in Murphys. Smoked pork ribs, tri-tip, turkey and pulled pork are the new hot dish additions. These mouth-watering entrees are served with baked beans and your choice of dilled potato salad, baby green salad with 18 year aged balsamic vinaigrette or coleslaw with a creamy garlic vinaigrette. If a sandwich is more your style then she will whip one up for you as you choose multi-grain or plain ciabatta rolls. It doesn’t stop here...

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Last Monday night the historic Hotel Leger was overflowing with community members and goodwill. The occasion was the premier of the Travel Channel's Hotel Impossible episode where the the recent makeover of the Leger was chronicled. Anthony Melchiorri veteran Hotelier and his crew suggested improvements and coordinated the makeover. This truly became a community event not only for the premier of the episode but also many of them had rolled up their sleeves and made the project happen. From former Supervisor Steve Wilensky who helped rally the community to Structural Engineer Terrance Weatherby who helped shepherd the project through the planning and building departments at the county to those who manned the brushes, hammers, brooms, mops, ladders and more to get the Hotel Leger ready for it's national audience and the next chapter in it's life...

Murphys, CA...Bicyclists from throughout Northern California and Nevada will journey to the historic gold rush town of Murphys to enjoy the spring beauty of Calaveras County and take part in the sixth annual Mr. Frog’s Wild Ride on Saturday, April 20. Two scenic routes, 50K and 100K, will take riders through the area’s verdant countryside at the height of the wildflower season. The longer ride will also include New Melones Lake. Last year 319 cyclists participated....

Black Oak Casino Resort Chosen to Host National Finals for the Karaoke World Championships USA

Tuolumne, CA...The country’s largest and most prestigious karaoke competition will be held at Black Oak Casino Resort later this year. The Casino has been chosen to host the National Championships for the Karaoke World Championships USA (KWCUSA) on October 3-5, 2013. The Karaoke World Championships USA is the only nationwide event sanctioned by the International Karaoke Authority located in Lahti, Finland. Black Oak will also host the Northern California State Championships and will be a local qualifying venue as well....
