White Pines, CA...Last Friday, Hazel Fischer Elementary School’s 4th and 5th graders got to try their hand (and feet) at the art of snowshoeing. Students were getting “cabin fever” from weather-delayed ski trips, cancelled basketball games, and from their play area at school being reduced to a narrow strip of wet blacktop.
