Grab Your Rakes & Pitchforks & Head To White Pines Park
Posted by: thepinetree on 05/06/2017 09:17 AM
Arnold, CA...Today is the Annual Park Clean Up Day at White Pines Park. One of the great things about our small communities that many who visit do not know is that many of our attractions are run by volunteers. White Pines Park is no different there is a dedicated group that keeps this venue functioning. Our community owes them a debt of gratitude. They are also working hard to keep the pressure on our local government to make repairs to Blagen Road in time for the peak summer season. The county had hoped to have a temporary bridge in place to restore access to the beach parking lot, ball fields & Moose by May 1st. That date has slipped as the county says they need emergency funding to pay for the bridge. They park is and will be open for summer use but until bridge repairs are made access to some areas will take a bit of legwork. A sign was recently donated to direct inquiries about the road repairs to the County Supervisor who's district covers White Pines Park. The calls were previously going to the home of one of the volunteers.
