Over the last 10 winters an average of 39 people died in avalanches each winter in North America. We believe providing educational presentations of the avalanche awareness program Know Before You Go will help safe lives.

Pinecrest, CA...The 2017 Pinecrest Fish Faire brings family fun, games and fishing to Pinecrest Day Use Area June 17 on the Stanislaus National Forest. Young fishers can learn how to cast, try their hand at fishing-related games and learn about the Forest, the environment and fish. Registration for Fish Faire begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Pinecrest amphitheater and continues until 10:30 a.m. Fishing and casting games and contests and visits by Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl begin at 8 a.m. and continue to 11:30 a.m. Guests will enjoy a picnic lunch when the fishy fun concludes.

With 11 shows on tap from some of the largest names in the music business this year should be epic. These 11 don't even count Ironstones's 4th of July Celebration and the Concurs d Elegance. So from now though the end of September Ironstone will rockin and rolling.

Murphys, CA...The Iconics, a seven-member band from San Jose that plays tunes from the 50’s and 60’s with a nod to the roots of Rock & Roll, will kick off this year’s season of First Fridays in the Park concerts to be held in the Murphys Park. The sponsoring Murphys Community Club is actually staging the June event on the second Friday of the month, June 9, to avoid a conflict with the graduation ceremony at Bret Harte High School.
