Murphys, CA...The Calaveras Community Band has had to cancel their Labor Day Concert because of potential air quality & heat concerns that may have affected some of their musicians.

San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce, The San Andreas Rotary and the San Andreas Merchants Association is hosting San Andreas Pioneer Day, Saturday, September 9, 2017. This is a brand new event and is a promotional activity for San Andreas. We are all interested in finding new ways to promote and revitalize our historic town and look forward to San Andreas Pioneer Day becoming an annual event.

The Sierra Nevada Logging Museum's 22nd Annual Logging Jamboree is Today!!

Arnold, CA...The Sierra Nevada Logging Museum in Arnold will be holding it's 22nd annual Logging Jamboree on September 2nd, Labor Day Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. There will be competition first for the amateurs, then the pro's with prizes. There will be BBQ by the Moose,local beer and wines, snow cones, tours of the museum & exhibits, and auction. Admission for those 12 years or over is only $8, or two for $15. Benefits to the Logging Museum.

Copperopolis, CA...We are so EXCITED here at The Square!! We now have a double header planned for you this Saturday as the opening of our popular September Concert Series! Starting at 7pm we present Long Time, A HIGH Energy Tribute to Boston! To follow is Fuse Box, A HIGH Voltage Tribute to ACDC! This is too hott to miss! FREE! $5 parking to benefit a local charity! Fuse Box will also be doing a raffle to benefit a 16 year old young man battling cancer. Don't forget your blankets and chairs and oh yeah your DANCING shoes for a spectacular eve here at The Square! Copperopolis Town Square – the events, shopping and entertainment gathering place in Calaveras County – will host the Copper Concerts series beginning September 2nd and continuing every Saturday through September 30th. Performances will take place at 7 p.m. near the intersection of Town Square Road and Little John Road. Admission to each concert is free. Murphys, CA...Dyemusica, a band formed in 2011 by five musicians who love reggae and the freedom of jam music, will be the closing act for this year’s First Fridays in the Park series when they entertain the crowd on September 1 starting at 5:30 p.m. in the tree shaded Murphys Community Park. Based in Arnold, the band incorporates different tonal styles and personalities, with thought provoking lyrics and a lot of experimental overtones, to achieve its sound and create something original.
