Albert Michelson Exhibit Inspires Young Minds at Angels Camp Museum

Angels Camp, CA...The Angels Camp Museum has been bustling with excitement as it has now welcomed enthusiastic students from Mark Twain Elementary, Albert Michelson Elementary, and Valley Springs Elementary schools. The students, brimming with curiosity, embarked on a special tour of the new exhibit that celebrates the life and achievements of Albert Michelson, the first American to win a Nobel Prize in Physics. This exhibit, designed to inspire future generations of scientists, was a perfect match for their curious minds.

Angels Camp, CA...As we say goodby to Frog Jump Season we though we would post a summary article that has the jump sequence photos of every finals jump which is over 2,000 photos in all, plus the full finals video as well. The 2024 Frog Jump Champion is 86 Years Young Lillian Fasano Jockeying "The Frog Father" Jumps 20 Feet, 5 & 1/2 Inches.  The white line in the photos below is the Rosie the Ribiter's 21 feet, 5 3/4 inches record from 1986. If "The Frog Father's" shadow in the jump is correct he was even closer to breaking the record than the judge's mark. Full Finals Video and Photos of Every Finals Jump.

The Tradition Returns & Community Comes Together for Greater Arnold Pancake Breakfasts!

Arnold, CA...Yesterday marked the return of one of the summer traditions in the Arnold area. The Greater Arnold Pancake Breakfasts are back! The longstanding tradition of the Lions Club has been brought back by the Greater Arnold Business Association to help fund the Arnold Independence Day Parade and other events and business activities along the Ebbetts Pass Corridor. Current Supervisor Martin Huberty & Former Longstanding Supervisor Merita Callaway even worked the serving line to help get the tradition rolling again. Big Boy's BBQ & Catering prepared the food & many others volunteered their time to help out. Even shy and demure Paul Bertini helped with promotional efforts to keep the crowds rolling in.
