Angels Camp, CA....(Frogtwon, USA)...This year the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is May 17-20. Last night Mark Twain Hall at Frogtown played host to the annual fair kick-off dinner. It is a great event every year that is filled with awards for those who help keep the fair and frog jump thriving and viable. It is also time for the next generations of local youth and even an exchange student from China to introduce themselves and even kiss a few frogs.

The public is invited to attend free of charge. The car show brings thousands of car enthusiasts to the beautiful hills of the Mother Lode the first Saturday of May each year.

Murphys Inn Hotel & Lee-Way Construction Donated & Planted 600 lbs of Trout for Local Fishers |

Angels Camp, CA...Murphys Inn Motel and Lee-Way Construction planted 600-lb of trout in the Angels Creek between the head of Tryon Park and the fireman's hole weighing 1 to 2 pounds each. These fish were purchased from Calaveras Trout Farm. This donation was provided to our community because our family loves fishing so much we want to share it with the youngsters in the area. They did the planting ahead of the April 28th opening day of trout season.
