Hospital Foundation Announces Winners of the Barger 2018 Golf Outing

Angels Camp, CA...The 11th annual Barger Golf Outing was held on Monday, June 4th at Greenhorn Creek Resort. The annual charity tournament attracted 120 golfers who competed in a modified scramble with scoring based on the “blind bogie” method. The day’s activities raised $60,000 bringing the cumulative event total to more than a half a million dollars. All proceeds from the tournament benefited the Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation’s Women’s Health Fund.

Ignacio brings a modern take on the American folk revival tradition with songs that explore his sometimes hard journey through life. It's not all just melancholy; Ignacio can rock pretty hard on stage all by himself. He plays an impressive number of instruments—guitar, dulcimer, mandolin, harmonica, percussion—sometimes at the same time to build a complex sound that brings new life to old favorites like "Just the Two of Us," and steers new songs like "Tom Thumb" into the world.

Columbia, CA...Columbia’s Glorious 4th of July Celebration begins with an 11 a.m. flag raising and black powder musket salute Wednesday, July 4, followed by a free concert from the Lucky CuZn Brass Band playing New Orleans style and patriotic tunes,followed by the annual Independence Day parade. July 4th in Columbia has been a tradition since at least 1852 and is the longest continuously running event in the county and perhaps even the entire motherlode. Arnold, CA...Join us at the 4th Annual Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge Car show and Chili Cook-off, Saturday, August 18. Last year we had an estimated 500 show goers, including the 250 people who tasted the best chili in the county. Thanks to community support we had 25 raffle prizes from day spa passes and dinner gift cards to car supplies. We expect the same great crowd this year.
